Pan-Armenian Environmental Front informs us in the Facebook page that serious problems have occurred during the exploitation of Teghut Mine. This information is not confirmed yet. The resources in mine and copper and molybdenum concentrations in the ore are less than it has been confirmed several years ago. Because of the drop in international copper prices Vallex CJSC has twice expanded the volume of ore processing without permission to cover its financial issues. The result of volume extension is that tailing economy fails to ensure the normal operation of water circulation system, and the wastes are regularly discharged into the Shnogh River polluting its waters with dangerous heavy metals and chemical compounds.
