Up to 170 Cubic Meters Water Intake from Lake Sevan

Infocom.am informs that with its first reading National Assembly adopted draft law on banning additional water intake over 170 Million Cubic meters. The author of the draft law is Varazdat Karapetyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment. Karapetyan highlighted that the lake cannot merely be considered as a water resource.

The draft law on amending the law “On Approving the Annual and Complex Programs of Measures for the Restoration, Conservation, Reproduction and Use of Lake Sevan Ecosystem” received 73 for, 8 against and 37 abstentions.
