Alen Simonyan on Logged Firs
Info.com reports that RA National Assembly Vice Speaker Alen Simonyan proposes to restrict the sale of felled fir and pine trees. On his Facebook page, Simonyan wrote that the draft law on amendments and supplements to the RA Law on Trade and Services has already been put into circulation.
According to him, the project on the sale of firs will reduce deforestation. On New Year’s Eve, 10 trees are imported from abroad for a few days, բւտ the remaining thousands are cut and then felled in Armenia. According to A. Simonyan, the natural fir can only be in a vase at home so that it can be moved and replanted.
