About 100 Trees Were Illegally Felled Down in Stepanavan

The Armenian police inform that on 3 May dozens of various trees were felled down in No12 guard of Stepanavan forestry.

According to the official press release, on 10 May Hakob A, aged 23, and Mikayel G., aged 24, were taken to the police unit where they gave similar explanations that prior to preliminary arrangements in January-February they regularly felled down around 100 trees with a saw. They transferred the timber to the yards of their houses: a part of it using for their personal needs, while selling the other part at a price of 12,000 to 14,000 AMD.

The police are going to take measure to find out all the details of the accident. A professional examination is appointed to find out the extent of the damage caused to the state.
