A Drip Irrigation System in Yerevan
The Ministry of Environment reports that Yerevan will have a drip irrigation system. At today’s Cabinet meeting, Minister of Environment Erik Grigoryan presented the decision project.
The project offers to transfer 6 million AMD from the Forestry Committee to “ArmAirat” SNCO. The money will be directed to design and estimate works needed to implement a drip irrigation system in Nork forests.
Erik Grigoryan said that reproduction is extremely low in Nork forests depending on the quality of the land and the slope of the area. As a result of the introduction of a drip system, reforestation in this area will be more effective.
The Minister of Environment also added that even in the privatized areas a minimum rate of landscaping will be set which the owners will have to provide.
